Time's Up! Harry Potter
An adaptation of the popular party game Time’s Up! set in the universe of Harry Potter.
Based on the game Time’s Up! Family, this adaptation of the smash-hit party game set in the Wizarding World will appeal to fans of the famous wizard, as well as those unfamiliar with the world of magic.
Time’s Up! is a game played in teams over 3 rounds. During each round, guess as many cards as possible!
Players split up into teams and 30 cards are dealt between the players. Each player looks at their hand, sets aside any they think are too difficult, and draws new cards to replace the ones they set aside. In Time’s Up! Harry Potter, there are 3 difficulty levels (“student,” “professor,” and “headmaster”), so that everyone can play according to their familiarity with the Wizarding World.
After shuffling all the remaining cards to make the deck, the game begins. A game of Time’s Up! Harry Potter plays over three rounds where players will try to make their teammates guess characters, spells, creatures, places, objects, and other words from the Harry Potter universe that are written on the cards in the deck.
During each round, each player will take turns trying to make their teammates guess as many words as possible over 40 seconds. Each word guessed will give 1 point to their team. In the first round, the clue-giver can describe the word without saying it specifically. In the second round, they can only use a single word as the clue. In the third and final round, they can no longer speak! They must act out the word using gestures and/or sound effects to make their teammates guess. After three rounds, the team with the most points wins the game.
