How to play?

How to play?

The Medals are placed between the players at the beginning of the game so each player has 2 accessible Medals (to the left and right).

To win one of those, one must be the first to achieve the objective indicated on it.

The Medal represents 4 Victory Points.

This race will thus guide the tactics of the players, who will compete to build their Wonder, win progress tokens, wage war, AND win the Medals.

"In the initial prototype of Medals, there were originally no medals! In an expansion for a family game, the ideal is to add a new mechanic without weighing down the overall rules. Not so simple... My first idea was to add GUILD cards to echo the older sibling, 7 Wonders. But, after some thought, it seemed lazy to reuse an existing mechanic. That's where the idea of placing objectives between players came in. It seemed to me both simple and intuitive while strengthening the interaction between players. It was also an opportunity to introduce attractive materials."
